Wellbeing and Pastoral Support
Every child matters. Every child belongs.
At Bloxham CE Primary, we know that children learn, grow and flourish when they feel safe, valued, understood and supported.
Wellbeing is woven into everyday life at our school. From our twice-daily feelings check-ins and Zones of Regulation to our nurturing relationships and pastoral support, we aim to ensure every child feels listened to, understood and able to thrive. We value children's voices and encourage them to share their thoughts, feelings and experiences.
Our dedicated Nurture Team provides additional care and support for children who may need a little extra help with their emotional wellbeing, confidence, friendships or social development. Through nurturing relationships and tailored support, we help children develop the skills they need to manage their feelings, build positive relationships and feel more confident in school.
We also offer ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) support, helping children understand and manage their emotions, develop resilience and navigate challenges. Through individual or small-group sessions, children are given a safe, supportive space to explore their feelings and develop strategies that they can use in everyday life.
Our six iCATCH values — Inclusive, Caring, Ambitious, Trustworthy, Creative and Honest — underpin our approach, helping children build positive relationships, develop self-awareness and understand the importance of kindness, respect and compassion.
We celebrate individuality and work hard to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where every child feels a sense of belonging and knows they matter.
Together, we nurture happy, confident and resilient children, helping every child feel ready to learn, grow and be the very best they can be.
