Bloxham CE Primary Pupils Pay Their Respects at Village Remembrance Service

Bloxham CE Primary School was proud to take part in the village Remembrance Service last Sunday, where our House Captains laid a wreath on behalf of the whole school community. With great dignity and respect, they represented their peers in honouring those who have served and sacrificed.

It was wonderful to see so many of our pupils participating in the wider village parade as members of local community groups. Children from Rainbows, Brownies, Beavers and the Boys’ Brigade marched alongside other organisations, demonstrating the strong links our pupils have within Bloxham’s community life. Their commitment, pride, and sense of responsibility were clear for all to see. As a school, we are incredibly proud of the way our pupils conducted themselves and contributed to such an important moment of remembrance and reflection.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to Mr Charlton and Mrs Swan for attending the service and supporting our pupils on this important occasion.

In school, pupils and families once again supported the annual Poppy Appeal with generosity and enthusiasm, helping to raise funds for the Royal British Legion’s important work.

We are also pleased to share that our Bloxham Remembrance Trail is still available for families to enjoy. This community project invites families to take a reflective walk around the village, visiting locations where pupils’ poems and artwork are displayed in honour of those who served. The displays can be found on community notice boards around Bloxham and will remain in place until 24th November. Families are encouraged to take part and to send photos of their walk into the school office.
